The drop-out rate for Hispanics at the high school level is appalling. AHA is taking action by providing Hispanic children English tutoring and mentoring. The intent of these programs is to improve the students’ knowledge and academic performance so that they stay in school until graduation.

Students learn English as an adjunct effort to the formal ESL and ELL programs which are already in place at the school. Tutoring may also include other subjects, such as math, and helping students with their homework. If you would like to be involved with these extremely important programs, please contact AHA. The more volunteer tutors who participate, the more students we can reach out to. These programs go to the very essence of what AHA is all about.
