| The Social and
Community Outreach Committees are putting the finishing touches on the
Christmas Charity Dance. The proceeds will go toward the procurement of toys
and groceries which will be distributed among disadvantaged Hispanic
families in North Alabama. Music will be provided by Luis Treviño’s Latin Rhythms Band and DJ Signey Hernandez. For those of you who want to brush up on your Salsa, Meringue and Cha-Cha steps, come an hour early (8-9p.m.) for a FREE group lesson by dance instructor Dwain Cooper. Attire: Dress to Impress. Admission Fee: $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Save money and buy $10 tickets at La Michoacana Grocery Store, 2007 University Drive (across from Toys-R-Us), open from 9-10 p.m. seven days a week, (256)532-0266. Join us for a lovely evening of great music, dancing and camaraderie. We urge you to purchase a ticket, even if you’re not planning to attend, because the money is going for a good cause. If you’re a business owner, buy tickets for your employees and receive a charitable tax-deduction at the same time. For ticket information, contact Juana at jgarling@teksystems.com We’re also asking party goers to donate a toy. It’s strictly optional but if you do, it will contribute enormously to the number of children who will receive toys this Christmas. Last but not least, please circulate this newsletter among your friends who might be interested in attending this dance but have not heard about it yet. Don’t miss out on the good times, good friends, and your chance to support a great cause! |
