AHA's tutoring and mentoring program!
The Butler High School tutoring classes started at 9:00 AM Saturday,
August 27.
We had 9 students, with the majority being 9th graders We also picked up two new student tutors, Ana Telles & Paola Rios, in addition to the regular tutors, Carlos Pérez, Dan Crain, Wallie & Vincent Fuentes, and Miguel Rodríguez. Butler High School had Ms.Katherine Henshaw
from the English Dept. participate in the tutoring process.

AHA Scholarship Funds
A new Scholarship fund was established with the name of Nilda Romero Scholarship Fund. The first scholarship was awarded to Carlos Pérez, who is attending Calhoun Community College. Carlos was close to Nilda Romero and is very grateful for the scholarship. Carlos plans to go to medical school.
This new scholarship is in addition to the Alabama Hispanic Association
Scholarship already established.
