Briseida Cardwell is an Assistant Vice President, Assistant Controller at Progress Bank and Trust.  She graduated from Athens State University with a bachelors in Accounting and has been in Banking for over 18 years.

Born and raised in Mexico, Briseida makes use of her Spanish and cultural background by volunteering for organizations in North Alabama.  She is an MLAM (Multi Language Access Model) graduate and certified interpreter through Asha Kiran.  Briseida has been involved with the International Festival held annually at UAH for the past four years and is currently the chairperson for Open Air Market. In her spare time, Briseida enjoys recreational running and serving her local church.

Melisa Restrepo

Melisa Restrepo has been the Executive Secretary for the Alabama Hispanic Association since 2011. She joined AHA as a middle school student and benefited from many AHA programs since 2008. Melisa graduated the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2016 with a bachelors in Marketing Management and is currently pursuing a MSMS in Business Analytics. She is the Operations Administrator at H2L Solutions, Inc. and  is responsible for managing daily operations, including finances, operations reports, budget proposals, and overall management of personnel. Melisa maintains involvement in several other local organization including Women in Defense, March of Dimes, and The Catalyst. Melisa is a native of Colombia and is bilingual in English & Spanish.

Resident of Huntsville, AL since 2007.  Married and mother of two sons.  

Spanish Language Provider for interpreting/translating work.
